The number one cause of death in women is breast cancer. WRONG!

Busted: The number one cause of death in women is cardiovascular disease: heart disease and stroke. 1 in 30 women die of breast cancer while 1 in 4 women die of heart disease. Did you know that about 1 in 4 of all women who have a heart attack die within that year? Sustain yourself and sustain your health!

Eating an extra 100 calories a day won't hurt me.

Busted: It takes 3,500 calories to make one pound of fat.  So, it takes 35,000 calories to make 10 pounds of fat.  Here's the math:

100 calories/day X 30 days a month = 3,000 calories extra a month (almost gaining a pound a month)

3,000 calories/month X 12 months = 36,000 calories extra in a year.

Losing 10 pounds only takes 100 calories per day.

Confirmed:  Yes, by lowering your calories by 100 per day, you will lose nearly a pound a month!  And 10 pounds a year!

The best form of birth control (other than complete abstinence) is having your tubes tied.

Busted: The Mirena IUD and Implanon implant provide more reliable birth control than having your tubes tied - and they tend to slow down (often to light spotting) or stop your periods, too!  (*Paraguard IUD's have no hormone and work as well, too - they will not lessen your periods.)
